Redmond Rare Coins Internship Projects

Description

Created graphics for social media content, designed various printable flyers, and managed the Instagram platform for this small business. With the help of my flyers that I designed to encourage people to vote for us, we won first place in “Best in the PNW”. We also raised our follower count by over 20% as of Dec. 2024. I earned 3 college Digital Technology and Culture credits for working in this position during Fall 2024.

COIN SHOW FLYER

Spring 2024

I completed this flyer using the business’s product photos and information on their website. I created two QR codes and printed the flyers out (front and back) for a coin show that Redmond Rare Coins was attending. It fulfilled its purpose of driving more traffic to our socials and telling customers about who we are.

THANK YOU NOTE

Summer 2024

Keeping a consistent style with the flyers, I designed a “Thank You “ paper to put into packages being shipped to customers. The font and marks are recognizable to customers and show our appreciation.

BRAND IDENTITY

Fall 2024

When discussing the thought of a new brand identity, I curated some color pallet, font, and graphic options to play around with. We are still brainstorming and discussing what works and what doesn’t, but using mockups is helping us.

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMNET & CONTENT CREATION

Spring 2024

I managed the social media account alongside the business owners on a daily basis. I gathered pictures and researched to create captions. To create graphics, I stuck to a dark red and yellow theme with bold fonts to attract attention to potential new followers. I posted a variety of content such as stories, grid posts, reels, polls, and questions with incorporating captions and music. Our Instagram followers increased by 24.8% from September 6th to December 6th. I accomplished this by interacting with followers and other accounts, looking at our metrics to see when our followers were most active, and consistently posting.

BEST IN PNW FLYER

Summer 2024

I made this flyer to promote our business for the competition of “Best in the PNW”. It shows clear instructions on how to vote. We recieved first place for Best Gold & Rare Coin Shop.
